Use chains with sticky pistons and change their shape.
ChainsPlus
Minecraft mod giving more functionality to chains, including sticky properties when interacting with pistons and ability to create branches. Also, lanterns can be moved by pistons and be waterlogged.

License
GNU GPLv2 license. That means you can make changes to this mod and redistribute it by itself or in a modpack, and that I'm not liable if this mod somehow causes you harm. It also means any mod or modpack you make using this code must also publish its source code, and give people the same right to edit and redistribute that I am giving you.
Credit
This project is a fork of Chains Link by Lettas_. At the time of the first release of ChainsPlus, major changes are:
- Updating the mod to 1.17 through 1.19
- Replacing multiple @Overwrite mixins with @Inject for compatibility, for example, allowing compatibility with mods that change the piston push limit
