Note that bottles of lightning are no longer invulnerable after they've been picked up by a player and dropped again. Fire and other hazards will destroy it.

A robust setup for automation of bottles.

Please note that a bad setup will result in destruction of items. Make sure that at no point the bottles turn into item entities as they will be destroyed by the explosion that comes with lightning strikes.
