• A fully custom Silly Cat entity with a GeckoLib model, texture and animation set (walk, idle, jump, sit, sit idle, stand)
• A stone shrine that generates in the world and marks where it all begins
• A health bond that links you to the cat, for better or worse
• Moods, random daily events, item stealing, photo bombing and other nonsense
• A death and revival ritual
• A shock collar and remote with optional real world PiShock support
• A storage inventory for the cat
• An in-game settings menu, a full command set, and 11 advancements, most of them hidden

1. Find the shrine. It generates naturally in plains, sunflower plains, meadows, forests, flower forests, birch forests, cherry groves, savannas and snowy plains. Roughly one every 20 chunks.
2. Run /boykisser locate or use /locate structure boykisser:shrine if you want a shortcut.
3. Open the shrine chest. It contains the Guide to the Silly Cat, a Silly Compass, 8 Sweet Berries, a Shock Collar and a Shock Remote.
4. The cat is waiting on the pedestal. Be nice. Or do not, that is your call.

Feed the Silly Cat Sweet Berries. Each berry has a 33% chance to tame it.

The moment it works:

• The whole server hears about it
• You receive the Amulet of Binding, which stores your ownership
• You earn the Soul Bound advancement
• Your health and the cat's health become one problem instead of two

Ownership follows the amulet, so it can be handed to another player.

Once tamed, damage is mirrored between you and the cat.

• You take a hit, the cat takes 50% of it
• The cat takes a hit, you take 50% of it
• If the cat dies, you die. No negotiation
• Creative and spectator players are exempt
• Server owners can tune the mirror ratio, turn off the death link, or disable the bond entirely

The cat also teleports to you when it falls more than 24 blocks behind, follows you through portals, and now correctly follows /tp and /teleport instead of getting stranded across the map.

The Silly Cat cycles through five moods: Curious, Sleepy, Judging, Gremlin and Protective. Witness all five and you unlock Weird Little Guy.

Once per in-game day there is a chance one of these fires:

• Zoomies - it loses its mind and sprints in circles
• Chaos Theft - it steals three items from nearby players
• Emotional Support - it sits next to its owner and gives Regeneration II
• Silent Watching - it sits perfectly still and stares for 30 seconds

Other things it does entirely on its own:

• Steals items out of your inventory and drops them nearby
• Sits next to playing jukeboxes because it has taste
• Photo bombs your screenshots by running into frame and sitting down
• Teleports directly behind you if it is still wild and you walk away from it

If the Silly Cat dies, your Amulet of Binding becomes a Broken Amulet and you earn Heartbreak. Kill it on purpose and you get You Monster instead.

To bring it back you have to perform the ritual at the shrine:

• Be in the Overworld, within about 30 blocks of the shrine
• It must be night
• There must be no hostile mobs within 20 blocks
• Crouch and use a Golden Apple

Lightning strikes, the cat returns, and the amulet finds its way back to you.

Put the Shock Collar on a player's head, then right click that player with the Shock Remote to bind it. Shift right click the remote to cycle through three power levels.

Optional real world PiShock support. Press J, open the PiShock tab, and enter your own username, API key and share code, plus a personal intensity cap. Everything is stored on your own machine and sent from your own client, so nobody else on the server ever sees your credentials, and nothing happens unless you enable it yourself. Server owners can also turn PiShock support off completely, cap the maximum intensity and duration, or disable the in-game damage.

Admins can also use /boykisser shock and /boykisser vibrate directly.

Right click your tamed Silly Cat with a Chest and it eats the chest, then carries 27 slots of storage for you.

Open it by pressing O, shift right clicking the cat, or running /boykisser inventory. If the cat dies, everything drops.

Controls (rebindable in Options, Controls)

• J opens the Boykisser settings menu
• O opens the Silly Cat inventory

The settings menu has a PiShock tab for every player and a server settings tab for operators, so admins can retune the mod live without ever touching a config file. The mod also appears in the normal Mods menu config screen.

Commands

The shrine also plugs into vanilla locating: /locate structure boykisser:shrine, /locate boykisser and /locateboykisser all work.

Configurable: cat max health, item stealing, daily events, cat inventory, shared health toggle and ratio, the owner death link, teleport distance, shock damage and caps, PiShock support, world announcements, the alpha join message, the update checker and optional analytics.

• Server compatible. Install the mod on the server and on every client
• One Silly Cat per world, shared by the entire server, not one per player
• One bonded owner at a time, and ownership can be handed over with the amulet
• Shared health only mirrors while the owner is online and loaded
• Server settings live in the world's serverconfig/boykisser-server.toml and can be edited in game by operators
• PiShock settings are per player and stored client side, the server never sees them
• Tested in singleplayer, on LAN and on a dedicated server

Drop Boykisser and GeckoLib into your mods folder and launch. A PiShock account is only needed if you want the real device integration, everything else works without one.

Other Minecraft versions are planned but not released yet.

Modpacks are welcome. You may include Boykisser in a modpack as long as the pack is free, the mod is unmodified, and you link back to this Modrinth page.

Add-on developers can build on top of the mod through the public API in com.eciipsestudios.boykisser.api, including BoykisserApi, the ShockProvider interface for custom shock backends, and cancelable events for taming, stealing, death, revival and shocks.

Ports to other loaders or versions need written permission from us first, must be clearly marked unofficial, must link this page at the top of their description, and cannot be monetized. We do not maintain or support third party ports.

You may not reupload the mod anywhere else, reuse the code or assets, or sell it. Full terms are in LICENSE.txt inside the jar.

• Most item textures are still placeholders
• The custom meow is not bundled yet, it falls back to the vanilla cat sound
• Config changes made by an admin do not refresh a settings menu another player already has open, reopen it to see them
• Some edge cases, like zoomies while sitting, still need polish
