🌳 Botany Trees – Expanded Compatibility

A comprehensive compatibility datapack that expands Botany Pots + Botany Trees integration across multiple popular mods with new trees and farmer's delight compatibility.

✨ What This Datapack Adds

🪓 Axe Harvesting in Botany Pots

Adds axe support to the Botany Pot tool slot.

When harvesting trees with an axe, logs drop as their stripped variants where appropriate and also drop Farmer’s Delight Tree Bark.

Normal behaviour remains unchanged if no axe is present.

Supported wood types include:

Vanilla trees supported by Botany Trees
Crimson/Warped Fungus supported by Botany pots
Apricorn trees and Saccharine trees (Cobblemon)
Avocado trees (Cultural Delights)
Distortion trees (Legendary Monuments)

⚠️ Note: As this is simply a datapack, you do not require all of these mods to be present, it will work fine with just the ones you have. If you are concerned, simply delete their recipe folders from the ZIP

🍎 Fortune Scaling for Rare Tree Drops

Fortune now increases chances for:

Saplings
Apples (Oak / Dark Oak / Saccharine)
Fruiting Avocado Leaves (Requires Shears)

🐝 Bee's Nest Support

Adds Silk Touch–gated bee nest drops to:

Oak Trees
Birch Trees
Cherry Trees
Mangrove Trees
Saccharine Trees

Saccharine trees are twice as likely to generate nests just like in the overworld!

As you cannot add Silk Touch and Fortune to a tool, fortune does not impact Bees Nest drops. I have some ideas for how to influence this in the future but for now this is all I can do!

🥑 Avocado Tree Support (Cultural Delights)

Adds full compatibility for Avocado trees, giving Avocado Fruit, Logs, Leaves (shears harvestable with a chance at fruiting leaves), and Saplings

Supports axe stripping and bark drops automatically. (Avocado logs strip to jungle logs).

🪺 Saccharine Tree Support (Cobblemon)

Adds full compatibility for Saccarine Trees, giving Logs + axe stripping, Leaves (shears), Apples, Bee nests (Requires Silk Touch), and Saplings

🌌 Distortion Tree Support (Legendary Monuments)

Adds full compatibility for Distortion Trees, grows only on Distortion Cobblestone, drops Distortion Logs, Leaves (shears) and Saplings

Saplings and sticks now rarely drop from Distortion Leaves blocks (the original mod included the Saplings, but there was no way to obtain them).

There is no stripped Distortion Log included in the LM mod, so axes do nothing when in the tool slot for Distortion Trees. I will update this if ever it's supported, or I may just make it strip to warped wood.
