
Boned 1.21.9 Update
release28 сентября 2025 г.What's better than copper golems??? Why Boned of course! But why not both? This update adds compatibly for the latest release 1.21.9 as well as fixing some issues that were missed in the past couple of versions.
General Changes
- The Tagbacks Option is no longer inverted (B-10) Please note that in order to fix this change the setting has been reset for all existing Boned Games to (false. Meaning tagbacks are NOT going to work)
- The Pack Version has been bumped and includes the new system introduced in 1.21.9 (B-12)
Changes in 1.21.5+
- Fixed an issue regarding particles showing up during chest raycasting (B-13)
Changes in 1.21.9+
- Added support for copper chests and shelves to the system raycasting
- TECHNICAL, the chest raycast system has been condensed into a singular file
double_chest.mcfunction - TECHNICAL, two new tags have been added,
#camo:chestsand#camo:shelveswhich are used incamo:storable_containers
Resource Pack Changes
- The Pack Version has been bumped and includes the new system introduced in 1.21.9 (B-12)
Boned 1.21.5-1.21.8 Update
release16 марта 2025 г.UPDATE: 1.21.6/1.21.7/1.21.8 seems to work just fine other than the Settings Screen asking if you want to execute a command and the pack format being outdated. If there are any issues report it on my github!
A quick hotfix to add proper support to 1.21.5, as always please report issues with my pack so I can fix them as soon as possible.

Datapack Changes 1.21.2+
- Absorption is preserved properly after the Totem Animation (B-5)
Developer Note: Implementing a fix to absorption using the potion transfer system is incredibly janky and inconsistent for 1.21-1.21.1, as a result this issue was automagically fixed in 1.21.2+ with the introduction of the
death_protectioncomponent. Please keep in mind the absorption hearts may be lost if a player does not have max health due to the calculation now applying damage towards the player, meaning absorption hearts will be hurt first before health.
Datapack Changes 1.21.4+
- Updated to 1.21.4 so that the Boned Growth uses the item definition system via
custom_model_data'sfloatsfield.
Resource Pack Changes 1.21.4+
- Updated to 1.21.4 to use the new item definition system utilizing the
selectand therange_dispatchmodel type - The item in the inventory will remain the same size even if the bone growth is enabled
Developer Note: The larger bone sizes caused a lot of the inventory to be obscured and didn't feel like a fun quirk to keep in, so I just removed it.
Boned 1.21.2 Update

The first "major" update of Boned is here adding a few new feature and bug fixes!
Datapack Changes 1.21+
- Added a new config option: Tagbacks
- When enabled Tagbacks are in the game, when disabled all users except for blacklist users will have Tagbacks removed.
- Added a new fix to prevent players from putting the boner in bundles
Datapack Changes 1.21.2+
- Updated to 1.21.2 (Fixed Attributes and split up Chestboat ids)
- The "Resource Pack" Config Menu has been renamed to "Aesthetics"
- The Totem Animation Option is now enabled by default and anyone who upgrades from V1.0.1
- The Totem Animation Option is no longer dependent on a resource pack
- The Totem Animation now uses the vanilla game's 'death_protection' component
- As a result the Potion Transfer system is no longer used as
death_protectionallows for potion effects to be preserved on death - Added a new fix to prevent players from putting the boner in dyed bundles
- Implemented a new system for the Boned Growth setting using the
item_modelcomponent - This is to ensure that the Boned Item doesn't rely on vanilla models anymore
Resource Pack Changes 1.21.2+
- Added a new model that now stores all the custom model data for the Boned Growth Option
- Removed any dependency for the Totem Animation in newer versions due to the
death_protectioncomponent.
Boned Critical Hotfix

- Fixed Boned Blacklist continuously ticking up a scoreboard for tagbacks
- Unblacklisted players will now lose their immunity tag
