BetterDrops optimizes dropped items by merging them into infinite stacks to reduce lag and displays holographic names with counts for easy identification. Fully configurable in-game.
BetterDrops is a quality-of-life mod designed to improve how dropped items behave in Minecraft. It reduces server lag by merging nearby items and provides clear visual information to the player.

Holographic Displays:
No more guessing! Automatically shows item names and counts floating above the items.
Visual Style: High-contrast text (White Name + Yellow Count) that is always readable, e.g., Diamond (x128).
Performance Optimized: Only renders when you are nearby.
Smart & Infinite Merging:
Infinite Stacking: Overcomes the vanilla limit of 64! Items on the ground can merge into massive stacks (e.g., x1000+) to significantly reduce entity count and lag.
Radius Control: Items automatically merge within a configurable radius (Default: 5 blocks).
Safe Logic: Enchanted items or items with special NBT data will not merge to prevent data loss.
Seamless Pickup:
Even if a stack on the ground has 500 items, picking it up works perfectly. The mod intelligently fills your inventory stack by stack.
In-Game Configuration:
Press '0' to open the Settings Menu.
Toggle Item Names (On/Off).
Toggle Item Merging (On/Off).
Adjust Merge Radius (1-10 Blocks) via a slider.
All changes apply instantly without restarting the game.
