Better Than Wolves Legacy Unofficial
Better Than Wolves ported to Station API + Multiplayer Support. Based on version 2.94 (beta 1.7.3) with small improvements and a custom API for recipes and other features mods can use to interact with this mod

Better Than Wolves extends the game by adding new machines and simple mechanical components to combine into larger automatic contraptions. These new features are introduced step by step in the survival mode progression to ensure a smooth learning curve. The original mod idea was to add features which would in total take about the same amount of time as adding properly functional wolves to show that development resources could have been spent better.

Gameplay
General features

Hemp farming
Hemp is a 2 block tall crop which can be obtained from hemp seeds by breaking tall grass. Its products are essential for progressing in the mod.
Mechanical power
The main power system of the mod. It creates unique challenges in figuring out a compact layout to power all machines. A network consists of axles and gear boxes. Gear boxes only have one input but can be split into multiple outputs. A network only requires one generator.
New crafting machines
Better Than Wolves comes with many new machines, each having unique automation challenges. Some require fire, rotational force, and/or other machines to work correctly. The first machines are simple and allow for an easy introduction into the mod with each machine becoming progressively more complex.
New purpose for dogs
Dogs occasionally produce dung when fed. Dung is important in the creation of tanned leather. One important thing to keep in mind is to not put dung into the same cauldron as food, otherwise the food will be turned into foul food.
Changes from the original version
The original version 2.94 had some unfinished features which have been taken care of in this version.
Crucibles can use double stoked fire
Double stoked fire does not have a use in the original version. If you want to boost the smelting rate, you can raise the crucible up by a block. This used to be a requirement but has been made optional again for more parity with the original version.
