Introduction:

This datapack aims to improve the Iron Golem in minecraft and it supports versions from 1.16.2 to 1.21.11.

Iron Golem's New Stats:

1. Armor Points 🛡️: Then = 0, Now = 15
2. Attack Damage ⚔️: Then = 15 (7.5 hearts), Now = 25 (12.5 hearts)
3. Better Range 👁: When a villager is in danger, Iron Golem can detect it from 64 blocks away.
4. When Angry 😤: Every second, there is a 50% chance that Iron Golem can sprint.
5. Upon attack 👊: Golem can disable player shields just like how an axe does.

Player Created Golem's New Stats:

1. Armor Points 🛡️: Then = 0, Now = 20
2. Attack Damage ⚔️: Then = 15 (7.5 hearts), Now = 30 (15 hearts)
3. Better Range 👁: When a player is in danger, Player Created Golem can detect it from 64 blocks away.
4. When Angry 😤: Every second, there is a 50% chance that Iron Golem can sprint.
5. Upon attack 👊: Golem can disable player shields just like how an axe does. (Well, only if it ever attacks player.)

  Summons Iron Golem

• /function summon:iron_golem/player_created

  Summons Player Created Golem

• /function give:spawn_egg/iron_golem

  Gives Iron Golem Spawn Egg

• /function give:spawn_egg/iron_golem/player_created

  Gives Player Created Golem Spawn Egg

• /function toggles:better_golems

  Using this you can toggle some features. They are:
  • Golem disable shields : When Enabled, iron golems will become capable of disabling shields. This only affects newly spawned golems.

• /function uninstall:better_golems

  Uninstalls the datapack

Pros:

• Iron Golem can now easily take down a zombie horde (hordes naturally occurs in minecraft).
• Iron Golem can now survive 3-4 raids without dying.
• The chance of an Iron Golem to one hit kill a zombie is 80% now, it was around 20% before.
• Iron Golem can protect villager from 64 blocks away.
• Player Created Golem can protect player from 64 blocks away.
• Even if you start a fight with normal Iron Golem, Player Created Golem will help you defeat that normal Iron Golem.

Cons:

• Its now harder to kill an iron golem for getting iron. E.g:- To kill an Iron Golem with Stone Sword, 25 critical hits are required from a Stone Sword instead of 16.
