3.1 is out for 26.2 and for both Fabric and NeoForge. It brings:

Copper Giant Sword, Shield and Gilded Shield
Netherite Giant Sword, Shield and Gilded Shield
New functionality for the new shields (no spoilers, see in-game!)
Shields can now be enchanted with Mending, Unbreaking & Curse of Vanishing
Bug fixes (for example, shields can now be equipped quickly on the off-hand within the inventory, just like the vanilla shield)
