Abyssal Leviathan
Something enormous moves beneath the waves. The Abyssal Leviathan adds a rare deep-sea boss encounter to Minecraft.
The oceans of Minecraft have always felt a little too safe.
Far below the surface, beyond the coral reefs and shipwrecks, something ancient roams the depths. The Abyssal Leviathan is a massive ocean boss that rarely appears in the world, making every encounter feel like a true discovery rather than something you can easily hunt down.
Its glowing body can sometimes be seen moving through the darkness beneath the waves. Those fortunate enough to encounter it may earn a story to tell. Those who challenge it may earn something even greater.
Defeating the Abyssal Leviathan rewards you with Varuna's Trident, an artifact blessed by the sea itself.

Water Breathing while underwater Water Walking while on the surface
More abilities are planned for future updates.
The Leviathan currently spawns naturally in ocean biomes, though it is intentionally very rare. Future updates will expand the encounter with a dedicated structure and additional content.
