A lightweight utility datapack that adds visual durability indicators to held tools through colored particle effects.

Features

Durability Status Indicators

• Green particles: Tool in excellent condition (>66% durability)
• Yellow particles: Moderate wear (33-66% durability)
• Red particles: Critical condition (<33% durability)

Performance

• Runs on a slow tick cycle (checks every 40 ticks)
• Only monitors the active player's main hand slot
• Minimal performance impact with efficient NBT-based durability calculations

Compatibility

• Works with all standard Minecraft tools: pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes, swords, shears, fishing rods, and flint and steel
• Operates entirely in the background with no player commands required
• No permissions needed

How It Works

Particle effects emit from your held tool at regular intervals, providing at-a-glance durability status without checking item tooltips. The system uses execute if predicate combined with item checks to determine tool types and calculate durability from NBT data. Simply install the datapack and the feature activates automatically during gameplay.
