Lumberjack

Lumberjack is a lightweight, survival-balanced tree-felling datapack that lets you chop down entire naturally generated trees in one swing with any axe—complete with realistic durability usage, rapid leaf decay, bee nest protection, and per-player activation modes.

Key Features

• Natural Tree Detection Only: Automatically verifies that a tree has natural, non-persistent leaves (or fungus/mushroom caps) before felling, keeping player-built log cabins, wooden structures, and decorative builds completely safe.
• Full Tree, Fungus & Huge Mushroom Support: Supports every vanilla tree and giant fungus type:
  • Overworld Trees: Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove (including Mangrove Roots and Muddy Mangrove Roots), Cherry, and Pale Oak.
  • Nether Huge Fungi: Crimson Stems and Warped Stems (with Nether Wart Block, Warped Wart Block, and Shroomlight cleanup).
  • Huge Mushrooms: Mushroom Stems, Brown Mushroom Blocks, and Red Mushroom Blocks.
• Fast Leaf & Wart Decay: Once a tree is felled, its surrounding canopy decays rapidly over the next few ticks—dropping saplings, sticks, apples, and mushroom/wart drops right to the chop point so no floating treetops are left behind.
• Drop Magnetization: All felled logs and canopy drops are neatly gathered at the block you chopped for easy collection.
• True Vanilla Durability & Unbreaking Support: Every felled log consumes axe durability using vanilla's exact Unbreaking enchantment probabilities (1 / (level + 1)), while respecting minecraft:unbreakable axes.
• 1-Durability Safety Stop: Never accidentally shatter your favorite enchanted axe—Lumberjack automatically stops felling when your axe reaches 1 durability remaining and alerts you on the actionbar.
• Bee Nest & Beehive Protection: Automatically leaves behind any log directly supporting a Bee Nest or Beehive and notifies you in chat so you never accidentally anger bees or break their nest.
