1.3.1 | The Savanna Update

This update should be compatible with worlds using version 1.2.1 or 1.3, but as it is made for a new version of Minecraft, a backup is strongly recommended.

General:

  • Updated Pack Format to 101 for Minecraft 26.1
  • Adjusted height that all Strongholds generate at to try and improve End Portal reliability
  • Rebalanced all Trial Spawner configs with more appropriate values for number of mobs, and simultaneous mobs, especially with Multiplayer in mind

Ocean Stronghold:

  • Removed a Debug Stick that I accidentally stored in a Decorated Pot structure

Savanna Stronghold:

  • Added Savanna Strongholds
  • Spawn in Dripstone Caves and all Savanna-like Biomes, except Wooded Badlands, due to their proximity to regular Badlands for the Desert Stronghold
  • Heavily Steampunk-themed, made of primarily Copper Blocks, and with lots of pipes and other machinery
  • Consist of complexes in the form of assorted rooms and hallways that adjoin to other complexes or to rooms outside of the complexes, on the way to the End Portal Room
  • Some rooms feature puzzles. These include the return of the Chest Puzzle and Secret Levers from the Jungle Stronghold, as well as Puzzle Chests, which require a specific random item to unlock
  • Trapped Decorated Pots deal minor damage and drop one of the player's hotbar items, if there's an item in the selected slot to drop
  • Trial Spawners and Vaults have a chance to drop Enchanted Books of Steaming, a new custom enchantment for projectile weapons that gives hit entities Levitation, and at higher levels, sets them on fire
  • Trial Spawners and Vaults have a chance to drop Enchanted Books of Pickpocket, a new custom enchantment for melee weapons that attempts to cause hit players to drop an item from their hotbar, if there's an item in the selected slot to drop
  • Spiders that spawn here have reduced Scale and Health. During Ominous Trial, these are Cave Spiders with reduced scale
  • Ghasts that spawn here have reduced Scale and Health, their Fireballs don't deal explosion damage, but do affect hit entities as though enchanted with Steaming. Ominous Ghasts have Steaming II.
  • Skeletons that spawn here wield Copper Swords enchanted with Pickpocket
  • Copper Golems that spawn from Trial Spawners are hostile, have increased health, and attack as though enchanted with Pickpocket

This update should be compatible with worlds using version 1.1.2, but as it is made for a new version of Minecraft, a backup is strongly recommended.

General:

  • Rebalanced the Loot Table used by Treasure Chests. It now has a chance to call from a separate Treasure Loot Table, containing higher value items
  • Added a #bistro:biome_strongholds structure tag for use in the /locate command
  • Optimized functions a good deal

Jungle Stronghold:

  • Trial Spawners and Vaults now have a chance to drop Enchanted Books of Blinding, a new custom enchantment for weapons that gives hit entities Blindness
  • Skeletons now use Bows enchanted with Blinding, rather than carry Tipped Arrows of Blindness
  • Vexes have a chance to drop Enchanted Books of Blinding
  • Ominous Vexes now wield Stone Swords enchanted with Blinding II
  • Fixed a bug that caused some Room Terminuses to not have a Spawner. Those Room Terminuses will now always have a Spawner

Snowy Stronghold:

  • No longer spawn in regular Taigas. They will still spawn in Snowy Taigas
  • Trial Spawners and Vaults now have a chance to drop Enchanted Books of Blizzard, a new custom enchantment for weapons that applies the Ice Zombie no-jumping effect to hit entities
  • Regular Ice Zombies now wield Ice Blocks enchanted with Blizzard, replacing their old behavior
  • Spiders now have a chance to drop Enchanted Books of Blizzard
  • Ominous Spiders now attack as though they had Blizzard

Forest Stronghold:

  • Added Forest Strongholds
  • Spawn in all Forest-like Biomes, including regular Taigas, Old Growth Taigas, Cherry Groves, and Pale Gardens
  • The appearance of the Stronghold changes depending on the biome it started in, but the construction is the same regardless
    • This technically means there are six different Forest Strongholds, which can be located either with /locate structure #bistro:forest_strongholds for the nearest of any kind, or /locate structure bistro:forest_stonghold/ for the nearest of a specific kind. However, not every world will have every type of Forest Stronghold (Pale Garden and Cherry Grove Strongholds in particular are extremely rare)
  • Consist of "destination complexes" that adjoin to other complexes or to rooms outside of the complexes, down four separate paths from the starting complex: three leading to Library Rooms, and one leading to the End Portal Room
  • Some rooms feature puzzles. These include the return of the Color Puzzle and Secret Levers from the Jungle Stronghold, as well as a new Fairy Sapling puzzle, which requires the player to chase a Sapling around various preset locations to cause a Treasure Chest to appear.
  • Trapped Decorated Pots deal minor damage and give the player brief Blindness
  • Trial Spawners and Vaults have a chance to drop Enchanted Books of Disorienting, a new custom enchantment for Chestplates that causes attacking entities to get turned around
  • Silverfish that spawn here have increased Scale and Health. Ominous Silverfish attack as though they had the Blinding enchantment
  • Hoglins that spawn here have reduced Scale, Health, Attack Damage, and Attack Knockback, as though they're aggressive Pigs. Ominous Hoglins do not have these debuffs, and attack as though they had the Blinding enchantment
  • Breezes that spawn here have reduced Health and emit Leaf particles, and attack as though they had the Blinding enchantment
  • Creaking that spawn from Trial Spawners here can be dealt damage, have increased Health, behave as though they are enchanted with Disorienting II, and can drop Enchanted Books of Disorienting
