Better Hardcore is a datapack that aims to increase the general game difficulty to be harder. Perfect for those who think Minecraft no longer feels hard anymore!
Energy/Stamina & Reduced Health
Two main features Better Hardcore tweaks are health and sprinting. By default, you'll start with five hearts, however you can grind them up by finding Life Lights in challenging structures. On the other side, energy makes it harder to escape from mobs.
Darker Caves
This feature can be modified by shaders. For the best hardcore experience, play without them. Caves are now extremely dark and almost impossible to see around.
Powerful Relic
Better Hardcore adds the Powerful Relic as a drop from Powerful Mob versions. It can be used to keep the energy at maximum for some time; also getting the powerful mob effect.
Mob Changes
Most mobs are now much harder than before. Skeletons, for example, carry Flame bows.
