Better TNT: Shockwake

This is a datapack that makes explosions look cooler and feel stronger.

It works with:

• TNT
• Creepers
• TNT minecarts

You do not need any mods or a resource pack.

Mechanics

Better explosions

When something explodes, you will see and feel more than just the normal blast:

• A shockwave moves out from the explosion
• A smoke cloud rises into the air
• Sparks and fire can appear in the crater
• Your screen may shake
• Nearby lights can flicker
• Dust can fall from the ceiling
• Some blocks around the crater can look cracked

Concussion

If you are too close and survive:

• You get nausea
• Your vision gets darker
• You get weakness
• Your camera shakes hard
• Nearby mobs also get stunned

Hypercharge TNT

This is a special stronger TNT.

How to craft: put 9 TNT in the crafting table.

What it does:

• Looks enchanted
• Burns for 25 seconds after you place it
• Explodes about 6 times stronger
• Makes a much bigger smoke cloud and shockwave

Important: place it and run away.

You can also get it with this command: /function simp_explosions:super/give

Install

1. Put the zip file into your world’s datapacks folder
2. Type /reload
3. Check that it loaded with /datapack list

• /function simp_explosions:config/help — show help
• /function simp_explosions:super/give — give Hypercharge TNT
• /function simp_explosions:fx_only — test the explosion effects
• /function simp_explosions:config/enable — turn the pack on
• /function simp_explosions:config/disable — turn the pack off

Extra info

• This is a datapack, not a Fabric/Forge mod
• Normal TNT stays normal
• Only Hypercharge TNT has the long fuse and mega explosion
• You can turn almost every effect on or off
