Store overkill damage when killing a mob. Hit something and the damage gets applied. But it goes down over time. Now works with all weapons! And takes enchantments like sharpness, power, smite and impaling into account!

Rideable mobs can eat food from your offhand if they are damaged. There's a setting that lets you feed skeleton and zombie horses too and one that lets you feed mounts regardless of their damage.
