Zephyrr's Vibrant Shaders
A performance-optimized edit of Bliss, tuned specifically for low-end RTX 3050 laptops, with enhanced volumetric god rays and a default "Color Processing" tonemap.
This is not an original shader from scratch — it's a modification built on top of Bliss, which is itself a modification of Chocapic13' Shaders. Full credit chain and license below.
License
This project is shared under the same terms Chocapic13 requires for any edit of their shaders. Copied in full below — these are not my own rules, I'm required to use the same ones:
License, as stated by Chocapic13:
Sharing a modified version of my shaders:
- You are not allowed to claim any of the code included in "Chocapic13' shaders" as your own
- You can share a modified version of my shaders if you respect the following title scheme: " -Name of the shaderpack- (Chocapic13' Shaders edit) "
- You cannot use any monetizing links (for example adfoc.us ; adf.ly)
- The rules of modification and sharing have to be the same as the ones here (copy paste all these rules in your post), you cannot make your own rules, you can only choose if you allow redistribution.
- I have to be clearly credited
- You cannot use any version older than "Chocapic13' Shaders V4" as a base, however you can modify older versions for personal use
Common sense: if you want a feature from another shaderpack or want to use a piece of code found on the web, make sure the code is open source. In doubt ask the creator.
Common sense #2: share your modification only if you think it adds something really useful to the shaderpack (not only 2-3 constants changed).
Using this shaderpack in a video or a picture:
- You are allowed to use this shaderpack for screenshots and videos if you give the shaderpack name in the description/message
- You are allowed to use this shaderpack in monetized videos if you respect the rule above.
Minecraft websites:
- The download link must redirect to the download link given in the shaderpack's official thread
- There has to be a link to the shaderpack's official thread
- You are not allowed to add any monetizing link to the shaderpack download
If you are not sure about what you are allowed to do or not, PM Chocapic13 on minecraftforum.net. Not respecting these rules can and will result in a request of thread/download shutdown to the host/administrator, with or without warning. Intellectual property stealing is punished by law.
Modification and sharing of this build follow these exact same rules — you may share your own edit of this build under the same title-scheme and credit requirements, and no monetizing links.

Benchmarks
Tested on: Intel Core i5-11400H, 32GB DDR4-3200, NVIDIA RTX 3050 Laptop GPU (4GB VRAM). Iris 1.11.2 + Sodium 0.9.1, 1600x900 exclusive fullscreen, 8 chunk render distance, Smooth Lighting on, Anisotropic Filtering 8x, Biome Blend 15x15 , MiMap Level 4x:
| Dimension | Average FPS |
|---|---|
| Overworld | 123 |
| Nether | 115 |
| The End — outer islands | 165 |
| The End — inner islands | 155–160 |
For reference, stock Bliss on the same machine/settings ran roughly 80 fps in the Overworld — so this is close to a 1.5x jump there, and closer to 2x out in the End. Your own numbers will vary with resolution, render distance, and your specific laptop's GPU power limit.
What's different from stock Bliss
Performance (targeted at RTX 3050 laptops):
| Setting | Stock Bliss | This build |
|---|---|---|
| TAA Upscaling | Off | On (0.75 scale) |
| Shadow resolution | 2048 | 1024 |
| Shadow distance | 128 | 96 |
| Shadow filter samples | 13 | 8 |
| Volumetric fog samples | 8 | 6 |
| SSGI ray count / steps | 4 / 8 | 2 / 6 |
| SSR steps | 30 | 15 |
| Cloud raymarch steps | 15 / 15 | 10 / 10 |
| Cloud quality | 0.5 | 0.35 |
God rays (visual, FPS-neutral):
- Sun phase multiplier increased for stronger visible light shafts
- Haze amount raised for more atmosphere to scatter light through
- Mie scattering coefficients increased for more directional, visible sunbeams
Default profile: ships with the "+ Color Processing" tonemap active by default instead of the base tonemap. Both remain switchable anytime from the in-game Shader Options screen.
Installation
- Requires Iris and Sodium for Fabric.
- Drop the downloaded
.zipinto.minecraft/shaderpacks/— do not extract it. - In Minecraft: Options → Video Settings → Shaderpacks → select this pack.
- Fine-tune anything further from the in-game "Shader Options" screen.
Requirements & known issues
- Same base requirements as Bliss/Chocapic13's shaders: keep in-game Shadow Quality at 1.00x and let the shader's own options control shadow resolution.
- FPS above is from one specific machine/settings combo, not a guaranteed target for every setup.
