Expanse Shaders

Lightweight shaders for Iris that keep vanilla's soul but give every dimension its own air. Built alongside the End Expanse mod — the pack knows its plants and crystals — but works standalone everywhere.

☀️ Overworld

• Soft PCF shadows from sun and moon (rotating-kernel penumbra, night shadows included)
• Procedural sky: gradient dome, sun halo, peach sunsets, moon glow, rain wash
• Waving leaves, grass, crops and flowers
• Water with irregular waves, sky reflection and sun glint
• Underwater: murk, darkening and crepuscular light shafts

🔥 Nether

• Rolling steam: luminous mist banks in the biome's color drift between the rocks in real time
• Lava and magma slowly shimmer as if molten rock moves under the crust
• Fixed world-space form shading keeps depth under the bedrock roof

🌌 The End

• Aurora curtains drifting overhead in teal and violet, with vertical light pillars on the horizon
• The aurora casts a slow breathing light wash onto the islands
• Abyss fog: the void below the islands darkens and thickens
• Occasional meteors streak across the star field

✨ Everywhere

• Bloom around light sources; torches, glowstone, chorus flowers and lava keep full brightness
• Two-layer atmosphere: a near veil around the player plus optional distant haze
• Filmic tonemap with protected shadows, saturation and exposure controls
• Three presets (Low / Medium / High) and a fully localized settings screen (English / Русский)

Tested on Iris 1.9+ (Minecraft 1.21.x). No Sodium conflicts — Iris runs on Sodium.

Лёгкие шейдеры для Iris в духе ванили: мягкие тени днём и ночью, блум и свечение источников света, качающаяся листва, живая вода с подводными лучами, движущийся пар в Незере, северное сияние с метеорами над Эндом и двухслойная атмосферная дымка. Три пресета, все настройки переведены на русский. Создан в паре с модом End Expanse, но полноценно работает и без него.
