For this resource pack to work you need to install the CIT Resewn/optifine mod that implements the custom item textures feature into the game

This resource pack aims to update some outdated textures from the original Monumenta pack to better fit in with the base Minecraft experience. Its not intended in any way to replace the main resource pack and will never do so

Since the Monumenta Resource Pack is licensed under CC BY-SA 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/), I am allowed to use the textures from the pack, as long as I publish my edits under the same licensing
