🌌 Version 7.0-Alpha — "The Emergence of Custom Dimensions"

After weeks of research, planning, and a few honest detours, the plugin's most requested and most carefully-designed feature is finally here — in Alpha, and worth reading the fine print before diving in.

The big idea

Server admins can now link Waystones categories to dimensions created by third-party plugins (DimensionControl, Multiverse-Core, or anything else that adds a world) — no automatic guessing, no scanning, no fragile detection. The admin declares the link explicitly, and Waystones takes it from there.

New commands (all admin-only)

• /waystone createcategory <key> <world> — links a new category to an existing, loaded world. Refuses if the world doesn't exist, is already linked, or is the server's own primary Overworld/Nether/End (protects the built-in categories from being hijacked)
• /waystone removecategory <key> — removes a category, blocked if waystones still exist inside it (never deletes data silently)
• /waystone create <name> [@material] [#category] — the new #category suffix is a safety check, not a free choice: it confirms the category matches the world you're actually standing in
• /waystone setcategory <name> <key|reset> — verifies/confirms a waystone's category against its real world
• /waystone setglint <enabled|disabled> — toggles the subtle glow shown on custom dimension icons

How it looks in the menu

• Row 3 stays empty as a visual buffer between the fixed categories and the custom ones
• Custom dimension categories start on row 4, centered using the exact same pattern as Overworld/Nether/End (1, 2, or 3 per row)
• A category only appears once it actually contains a waystone — same rule as the fixed categories
• Valid custom categories get a subtle glow (Paper's official enchantment_glint_override, not the old fake-enchantment trick), which persists even with a custom icon
• If a custom dimension's world gets unloaded or deleted later, its category doesn't vanish or break — it turns grey and shows "world unavailable," visible to admins only, with the underlying data always kept safe

⚠️ This is an Alpha, read this part

Every player sees a red warning in chat on join for as long as this stays in Alpha: custom dimension support is new, experimental, and may contain bugs. Back up your world before relying on it. This warning (and this whole notice) will disappear once the feature graduates to a stable Release.

🏷️ Naming

• Major version bump (6.7 → 7.0) — first substantial new capability since the compatibility roadmap wrapped up, and the first ever Alpha-prefixed release for this plugin
• Generated jar: Waystone-Alpha-7.0-26.2.x.jar
• Like every v6.x/v7.x release, this only concerns the 26.2.x line
