VebaStickers v1.8.0 — Release Notes & Infrastructure Update

We are excited to announce VebaStickers v1.8.0! This major update brings 100% transparent unobfuscated builds for Modrinth compliance, a 4-tier resilient resource pack delivery manager (with Nginx reverse proxy and server.properties portless fallback), in-game system integrity diagnostics, and automated Modrinth update checking.

• 100% Unobfuscated & Clean Build (Modrinth Compliance)

  • Completely removed ProGuard obfuscation to adhere strictly to Modrinth project transparency requirements.
  • Upgraded Gradle Shadow plugin to v9.0.0-beta13 for Java 26 bytecode and Gradle 9.5 compatibility.
  • Generates a clean, transparent, high-performance VebaStickers-1.8.0.jar.

• 4-Tier Resilient Resource Pack Delivery Manager (PackDeliveryManager)

  • Tier 1 (Micro HTTP Server): Embedded web server with auto-failover port scanning (ports 8085-8095), HTTP 206 Range requests, HTTP 304 ETag caching, and DDoS rate protection.
  • Tier 2 (Nginx / SSL Reverse Proxy): Full reverse proxy domain support via http-server.public-url (e.g., https://pack.yourdomain.com).
  • Tier 3 (server.properties Native Handshake): Automatic fallback writing native resource-pack= and resource-pack-sha1= settings for shared hosting environments with restricted ports.
  • Tier 4 (External CDN): Direct Cloudflare R2 / GitHub / external URL fallback (pack-delivery.fallback-url).

• Admin System Diagnostics & Integrity Audit

  • /stickeradmin status: Displays web server health, uptime, active delivery method, bandwidth, total download counts, and player pack load stats.
  • /stickeradmin verify: Executes a 6-point automated integrity audit on textures, tile models, ZIP archives, SHA-1 checksums, and HTTP web server binding.

• Modrinth API Update Checker & bStats Telemetry

  • Integrated Modrinth REST API update checker with admin join notifications.
  • Added bStats custom chart telemetry for active delivery strategies, chat engines, and GeyserMC crossplay metrics.

• GitHub Actions CI/CD Pipeline

  • Added .github/workflows/build.yml for automated Shadow JAR compilation, JVM test execution, and GitHub Releases distribution on version tags.

Installation & Upgrade Guide

1. Download VebaStickers-1.8.0.jar and place it into your server's plugins/ directory.
2. Restart your server or run /stickeradmin reload.
3. Verify your delivery status anytime in-game using /stickeradmin status or /stickeradmin verify!
