TakeALook is a small plugin that lets players take a closer look at the item they are holding.

When inspection mode is enabled, the item appears in front of the player using an ItemDisplay. Hold Shift to slowly rotate it and check it from different angles.

Simple, clean, and useful for servers with custom items, resource packs, cosmetics, collectibles, or just players who like details.

Features

• View your held item up close
• Rotate the item while holding Shift
• Configurable distance, size and rotation speed
• Option to hide the preview from other players
• Supports Minecraft 1.19.4+

Commands

• /tal start - start inspecting your item
• /tal stop - stop inspecting (or you can remove the item from your hand)
• /tal reload - reload config

Permissions

• takealook.use - allows using /tal start and /tal stop
• takealook.reload - allows using /tal reload
• takealook.admin - gives access to both permissions

Why use it?

Sometimes holding an item in your hand is not enough. TakeALook makes items feel more interactive and gives players a simple way to actually look at what they are holding.
