🚀 TagsBits Update Summary

This update focuses on refining the economy experience, improving code reliability, and preparing TagsBits for its upcoming stable release.

⛏️ Major Fix — Individual Mineral Selling

One of the most requested improvements has finally arrived.

Players can now sell individual minerals directly through the economy menu without affecting the rest of their inventory.

What was fixed?

The issue involved multiple components of the selling system and has now been fully redesigned.

✅ Economy Menu Improvements

Each mineral item now stores its own material information using the PersistentDataContainer.

Changes include:

Each mineral tracks its specific material internally. Menu types were updated: mineral_sell → Minerals available for sale. mineral_empty → Minerals the player does not currently own. Tooltips now clearly inform players:

"Click here to sell ONLY this mineral!"

This makes the economy menu much more intuitive and user-friendly.

✅ Menu Click Handling Improvements

The click listener has been upgraded to support the new selling system.

Features include:

Reading the specific mineral directly from the item's stored data. Opening sale confirmations for only the selected material. Legacy support for older inventories that still use the previous menu structure. The "Sell All" button continues to function exactly as before.

Players can now choose whether to sell everything or only specific resources.

✅ Economy System Enhancements

The economy backend was expanded to support individual transactions.

New functionality includes:

Sale calculations for specific minerals. Separate confirmation requests for single-material sales. Pending sales now track exactly which material is being sold. Full inventory sales remain supported.

This provides far greater flexibility while maintaining compatibility with existing systems.

🔧 Hidden Database Bug Fixed

Another critical issue was discovered within the database layer.

Some sections of the previously generated code contained invalid type handling and improperly structured database operations.

Improvements: The affected save logic was completely rewritten. Incorrect iterator-based code was removed. Proper PreparedStatement implementations were restored. Dedicated try-with-resources blocks are now used throughout the database operations. Cleaner, safer, and more maintainable code.

As a result, player data persistence is now significantly more reliable.

⚠️ Operator Testing Mode Removed

As TagsBits moves closer to its official release, an important change has been made.

The experimental Operator Mode has been completely removed.

Previously, this feature allowed administrators to enable special testing behaviors directly through the configuration file, such as bypassing certain economy restrictions for plugin testing purposes.

Why was it removed? TagsBits is transitioning out of its beta stage. Testing-only functionality is no longer appropriate for production environments. Removing these options reduces confusion and potential misuse. The plugin is now focused on stability and release readiness.

This change reflects the plugin's evolution toward a polished and production-ready experience.
