Complete MiniMessage Support

Strings now supports MiniMessage for Channel formatting. To enable mini-message channel formatting, you must add the line mini-message: true in channels.yml. Make sure this is put above the rest of the settings, and not under the channels section. All original formats will need to be replaced with MiniMessage equivalents, as legacy codes will not work when MiniMessage support is enabled. MiniMessage Web Editor

Chat Player Head Support

Since channel formatting now supports mini-message, player heads can now be included as part of formats. To add player heads, first ensure that MiniMessage formatting is enabled as described in the section above. Once formats are moved over to MiniMessage, the placeholder <head:{username}> will show the player's head.

Group Formatting

Formatting by permission group is now supported with any Vault-based permissions plugin, such as LuckPerms. This requires both Vault and the permission plugin to be installed. Channels still require the format: "" to be defined as a default, but custom formats can be assigned to all groups on a per-channel basis.

To add group formatting go to channels.yml, and for each channel you want to add the formatting to, you must add the following section:

    group-formats:
      owner: "<head:{username}> <yellow><bold>OWNER</bold> </yellow><white>{displayname}<white>{suffix} <gray>» <white>{message}"

To add more groups, in the same style as owner, add the name of the group and after the colon, the group prefix. For example, to add formatting for the 'vip' group, add the line vip: "<green>VIP <white>{username} <gray>{message}"

Full DiscordSRV Support

Strings now integrates directly with DiscordSRV, allowing specific channels in Strings to be mapped to specific channels in Discord. For example, the Strings channel staff can now be mapped exclusively to a staff channel on Discord. For details on how to set up, refer to DiscordSRV docs, it's the standard method used for any other chat plugin.

MiniPlaceholders can now be used in channel formatting

Chat Suggestions

Strings now supports chat suggestions, when a player presses tab in chat, they can now be suggested emojis, players they can mention, etc.
