Schematic Sanitizer 2.0.0
Schematic Sanitizer moves to current Paper and Java, and keeps up with how 26.x stores mob equipment and clickable text. It also tells admins in game when a new version is out, and it no longer lets a command step outside the schematic folder.
Before updating
- Paper 1.21.11 or newer and Java 25: older servers and Java versions are no longer supported.
- Internet on the first start: the plugin downloads its libraries when the server starts for the first time.
- Renamed debug permission: the shared Eldoria permission
eldoutilitites.debugis noweldoutilities.debug. Grant the new name where you granted the old one. - Update setting moved:
updateCheckinconfig.ymlbecomes theupdatessection. Your choice is carried over. - Existing filter files keep their lists: add
equipmentandclick_eventtonbtBlacklist, andminecraft:splash_potionandminecraft:lingering_potiontoentityBlacklist, to get the new defaults.
Features
- Update notice in game: operators and players with
schematicsanitizer.updateshear about new versions on join, with a download button. Turn it off withupdates.notice. - Automatic updates: with
updates.autoUpdate, new stable releases of the same major version are downloaded on their own and installed on the next restart. Admins can also switch this on from chat. - Modrinth: the plugin is now available on Modrinth as well.
Improvements
- Defaults for current servers: new filter files remove mob equipment (
equipment), click actions on signs and other text (click_event) and thrown potions. - Unknown entity ids are kept: an id your server does not know stays in
entityBlacklistinstead of turning into an empty entry. - Permissions are declared: all permissions default to operators, and
schematicsanitizer.*grants them all. - Documentation: everything now lives at https://docs.eldoria.de/schematic-sanitizer, including the Javadoc.
Bugfixes
- Paths outside the schematic folder:
check, fixandfixbatchrefuse paths that lead out of the schematic folder, and a new name forfixmust be a plain file name. - File names and text shown as formatting: file names and removed text in reports are shown as they are and can no longer add formatting or click actions to the chat.
removeNonCreaturesremoved creatures too: it now removes only non-creatures.- Batch warning about removed blocks: the warning now appears when most blocks of a file were removed, not the other way round.
- Dotted file names:
my.castle.schemis fixed asmy.castle_new.scheminstead ofmy_new.schem. - Last report page: asking for a page past the last one shows an error instead of an empty page.
fixbatch -ono longer creates an empty_newfolder.
Developer notes
- The plugin is a Paper plugin now. Bukkit plugins keep using
depend: [SchematicSanitizer]; Paper plugins declare it underdependencies.serverwithjoin-classpath: true. - The API is built for Java 25 and Paper 1.21.11. Coordinates stay
de.eldoria.schematic-sanitizer:api. Sanitizer.fix(String)throwsIllegalArgumentExceptionfor names that are not plain file names, and the newSanitizer.fileName(String)returns the file name it writes.Sanitizer.name()keeps dots in the name.Settings.DEFAULTgainedequipmentandclick_eventin the NBT blacklist and the splash and lingering potion in the entity blacklist;EntityTypes.POTIONis gone from it.- The plugin is licensed AGPL-3.0-only; the
apimodule stays LGPL-3.0-or-later. - Built against eldo-util 3.6.0 and Jackson 3.
