Added
Five config options that stop a nicked player's real identity from leaking through server broadcasts. All are opt-in and default to disabled:
death_messages.use_nick_namesrewrites death messages to use the nick, covering both the victim and a player killer.join_messages.use_nick_namesandquit_messages.use_nick_namesrewrite join and leave broadcasts, including nicks restored from disk on login.advancement_messages.use_nick_namesrewrites advancement announcements at the packet level. The name argument is rebuilt as plain text, so the hover and click payload carrying the real name and UUID goes with it.skin_fallback_on_fetch_failurefalls back to the default Steve or Alex skin when a nick's skin fails to fetch, instead of showing the player's own skin.
Name substitution runs in a single pass over whole words (NickManager.applyNickNamesToText), so one player's nick cannot be rewritten again by another player's rule.
Changed
plugin.ymland the PlaceholderAPI expansion now take their version from the git tag, so/versionmatches the release.- CI builds the jar once and the release job downloads that artifact, which guarantees the published jar is the one that passed tests. Added Gradle caching, concurrency control,
workflow_dispatch, and least-privilege permissions. - Marked
gradlewexecutable in the git index.
Documentation
Documented every new option in configuration.md and getting-started.md, and added the feature to the README, the Modrinth page, and the docs site.
