NeoTab 1.2.0 — GUI, Scoreboard & ActionBar Timer

NeoTab 1.2.0 is now stable.

This update is a big step for NeoTab: the plugin is no longer just a lightweight animated tablist plugin. It now includes an ingame control panel, improved scoreboard controls, separate update intervals, animated scoreboard titles and a configurable ActionBar Timer.

Ingame Control Panel

You can now open the NeoTab GUI with:

/tab gui

The GUI is split into three simple categories:

Tab Scoreboard Extras

The GUI lets you configure NeoTab more easily without editing every setting manually in the config.

GUI items are protected and cannot be taken or moved.

🎨 Tab GUI improvements

The Tab menu now includes direct controls for:

• Tab/header name
• Animation style
• Built-in color presets
• Custom hex color input

Supported color presets:

purple red green gold

Custom hex colors are still supported:

/tab color #AA00AA,#BA55D3,#DDA0DD

📊 Scoreboard system

NeoTab 1.2.0 adds a per-player sidebar scoreboard foundation.

Basic commands:

/tab sb on /tab sb off /tab sb toggle /tab sb title /tab sb style <off|✨|purple-pulse|gradient-wave|static> /tab sb interval <smooth|balanced|light|custom ticks> /tab sb line <1-15> /tab sb clear <1-15> /tab sb clearall /tab sb save /tab sb load /tab sb delete /tab sb list

The GUI can also edit scoreboard lines through presets:

• Online players
• Player name
• Ping
• RAM
• Custom text
• Clear line

Named scoreboard presets can now be saved, loaded and deleted through commands or the GUI.

✨ Animated scoreboard titles

Scoreboard titles can now use the same animation styles as the tab header:

✨ purple-pulse gradient-wave static

You can also disable scoreboard title animation:

/tab sb style off

⚡ Separate update intervals

NeoTab now separates tab rendering and scoreboard rendering intervals.

This helps keep the plugin lightweight while still allowing smoother tab animations and slower scoreboard updates.

Scoreboard interval command:

/tab sb interval <smooth|balanced|light|custom ticks>

⏱️ Configurable ActionBar Timer

The ActionBar Timer can now be controlled through commands and the GUI.

Commands:

/tab timer start /tab timer stop /tab timer pause /tab timer resume /tab timer text <text with {time}>

Duration examples:

30s 5m 10m 1h

Example custom timer text:

/tab timer text Event starts in {time}

When the countdown finishes, NeoTab shows the configured completion text.

🧩 Built-in scoreboard placeholders

NeoTab supports these built-in placeholders inside scoreboard title and lines:

{online} {max} {ping} {avg_ping} {ram_used} {ram_max} {ram_percent} {server_name} {player} {player_name}

PlaceholderAPI remains optional and is only used when installed and enabled.

🎨 Shared color palette

NeoTab now uses the active color palette more consistently across tab output, scoreboard output, chat messages and timer output.
