NeoTab 1.1.1 — Custom Colors & Compatibility Update

NeoTab 1.1.1 is a small but important patch update focused on customization, bug fixes, and wider compatibility.

This release adds new custom header color options, improves the way NeoTab handles tablist formatting, fixes several smaller issues, and adds tested compatibility with Paper 26.2 Beta.

✨ New: Custom Header Colors

You can now change the animated tab header colors directly in-game.

Use one of the built-in presets:

/tab color purple /tab color red /tab color green /tab color gold

Or create your own custom color list:

/tab color #AA00AA,#BA55D3,#DDA0DD

Custom color lists support 1–5 hex colors and are saved into the config automatically.

🛠 Improvements & Bug Fixes

This update also includes several smaller fixes and cleanup changes to make NeoTab more stable and nicer to use:

• Improved LuckPerms name color handling
• Better support for formatted player list names
• Animated headers are no longer forced bold by default
• Added an optional config setting to restore bold header animations
• Small internal cleanup and stability improvements

If you want the old bold animation style back, enable it in the config:

header: bold-animation: true

✅ Compatibility

NeoTab 1.1.1 supports modern Paper servers and has been tested on:

• Paper 1.20.6
• Paper 1.21.x
• Paper 26.1.x
• Paper 26.2 Beta

Older versions below 1.20.6 are not planned, because NeoTab uses modern Paper/Minecraft UI and text APIs.

Note: Paper 26.2 is currently beta-tested compatibility.
