NeoTab – Beta 1.1.0-Beta.3

This beta update focuses on better performance control, safer update notifications, cleaner footer rendering, and improved optional plugin support.

New Features

• Added a safe Modrinth update checker with admin notifications

• Added /tab performance presets:

  • smooth
  • balanced
  • light
  • custom tick values
  • saved preset names

• Performance changes are now saved to config.yml and stay active after server restarts

• Added support for restoring the old bold header animation with header.bold-animation

Improvements

• Removed forced bold header animation by default for a cleaner look
• Improved footer rendering with Adventure components
• PlaceholderAPI and LuckPerms now stay fully optional
• Fixed LuckPerms access handling
• Fixed footer snapshot ordering for online/max player values
• Reduced PlaceholderAPI support log spam during tab updater restarts

Tested

This release was built with Gradle and runtime tested on Paper 26.1.2 with NeoTab, LuckPerms, and PlaceholderAPI.

Tested commands and behavior:

• /tab performance smooth
• /tab performance balanced
• /tab performance light
• /tab performance custom 10
• saving and loading performance presets
• invalid custom input handling
• /tab reload
• style and name commands in-game

Beta Notice

This is still a beta release. It should be stable enough for testing, but bugs can still happen.

• NeoTab version
• Server software and version
• Java version
• Installed plugins, especially PlaceholderAPI and LuckPerms
• Console error or log
• Steps to reproduce the issue
