Fatsan Villager Trade Limiter

Fatsan Villager Trade Limiter is a survival-focused balancing plugin built for Folia-based servers, with Paper 1.21.11 compatibility as well. Its goal is to reduce the most common villager trade abuses, especially librarian reroll abuse and extreme discount stacking, without breaking normal villager gameplay.

The plugin is designed for servers that want villagers to stay useful, but not become an easy path to unlimited high-value trades. It focuses on clean balancing, realistic configuration, and Folia-safe behavior rather than heavy-handed or fake mechanics.

Configuration

The plugin is designed to be flexible without becoming messy.

You can control things like:

• whether employment lock is enabled
• which professions should be excluded from locking
• which enchantments should be nerfed
• how strong each enchantment nerf should be
• different nerf rates for different enchantment levels
• how much Hero of the Village discounts should be reduced
• how much cured villager discounts should be reduced
• profession-specific minimum trade prices
• optional extra balancing such as demand scaling, max uses, and restock behavior
• world whitelist or blacklist behavior

This makes it possible to keep villagers useful on a survival server while still preventing the most abusable trading setups.

Requirements

• Java 21
• Folia 1.21.11 or Paper 1.21.11
• Best-effort support for 1.21.x as long as the relevant Paper API behavior remains compatible

Notes

This plugin is intended for survival balancing, not for completely disabling villager trading. The goal is to keep villagers valuable while making extreme trade abuse much harder.

It does not modify villager breeding, so it can be used alongside breeding-focused plugins without overlap.

If another plugin also rewrites villager trades or discounts, the final result may depend on plugin load order and event timing.
