EssentialsC v4.0.0 – Full Rewrite

This is a major update with breaking changes. Old data will NOT migrate automatically.

Major Changes

• Complete full plugin rewrite for performance, maintainability, and future features
• Database system reduced from 24 SQLite databases to 7, improving performance and storage efficiency
• Plugin debloated and optimized for cleaner code and lower resource usage

Permissions Overhaul

• Permissions changed from:
  • essentialsc.command.<command>.<subcommand>
    to:
  • essentialsc.<command>.<subcommand>
• Added new permissions such as:
  • essentialsc.heal.others
  • (and more granular permission nodes)

Messages & Config

• Messages system fully reworked and much easier to configure
• Added new config.yml options for better customization

New Commands

• /essc reload – Reloads plugin configuration and messages
• /essc debug – Prints debug logs to the console to help diagnose issues

Removed

• Removed unused or useless commands:
  • /beezooka
  • /tree
  • and other legacy commands
• Removed the daily rewards/system

Important Migration Notice

Data from EssentialsC 3.x.x.x will NOT work with 4.x.x.
This includes:

• Homes
• Warps
• Kits
• Other stored player data

You must start fresh or manually recreate data.
