• Fixed HEAD request handling — Resolved the java.io.IOException: stream closed error that occurred when search engines, uptime monitors, and link checkers probed resources with HEAD requests. The server now returns headers (with correct Content-Length) without writing a body, as the HTTP spec requires.
• Added OPTIONS / CORS preflight support — Responds with 204 No Content and Access-Control-Allow-Origin/Methods/Headers. Required for complex JavaScript-heavy websites and browser extensions.
• Added 405 Method Not Allowed — Unsupported HTTP methods (POST, PUT, etc.) now receive a proper status code instead of a stack trace.
• Expanded MIME type support (17 → 30+ types) — Added modern WebP/AVIF images, video (WebM, MP4, Ogg), audio (MP3, WAV, Ogg), web fonts (EOT), and formats such as WASM, web manifests, CSV, YAML, and Markdown.
• Clearer port-in-use errors — If the configured port is already occupied, the plugin now prints a formatted message explaining the cause and suggesting alternative ports instead of a raw bind exception.
• Updated deprecated plugin metadata API — Replaced getDescription().getVersion() with the modern getPluginMeta().getVersion() to remove deprecation warnings on Paper 1.21.1.
• Added /web reload command — Gracefully stops and restarts the embedded web server, re-reading config.yml and picking up new static files without a full server restart. Requires the emptynetweb.reload permission (default: op).
