v1.5.0 - The Remaster Update

Emage has been completely rebuilt from the ground up. We have discarded Minecraft's heavy default map system and replaced it with a custom, high-performance packet pipeline.

You can now run hundreds of animated GIFs simultaneously with absolutely zero impact on your server's TPS.

The New Rendering Engine

• Virtual Threads: Image decoding, color-mapping, and rendering are now entirely offloaded to Java 21 Virtual Threads. Zero main-thread lag.
• Delta-Encoded GIFs: Emage now uses smart packet-encoding. During GIF playback, it only sends the exact pixels that change between frames, drastically cutting down network bandwidth.
• Blue Noise Dithering: Completely replaced the old color conversion with a new, parallel-processed Blue Noise algorithm for stunning, highly-accurate map colors.

Storage & Stability

• ZSTD Compression: Frame data is now heavily compressed using Zstandard, taking up a fraction of the disk space.
• SQLite Database: Metadata is safely stored and indexed in a local SQLite database utilizing WAL mode for lightning-fast reads.
• Strict Memory Safety: Added a robust Caffeine cache system that strictly obeys the memory limits set in your config.yml, preventing memory leaks.

Honorable Mention

• Streamlined Commands: Redesigned the command structure to be much simpler: /emage apply, /emage apply-grid, and /emage remove.

⚠️ Important Note for Upgrading: Because the entire storage and rendering engine has been rewritten, previous map data from older versions of Emage is no longer compatible. Make sure to fully delete the Emage folder from your plugins/ folder.
