CoreArmorX is a Paper-only vanilla+ armor progression plugin for Minecraft servers. It adds a controlled armor upgrade path and lets netherite armor use vanilla visual skins while keeping netherite-level behavior.
The idea is simple: armor progression should feel intentional without forcing a server to install a database, economy system, custom GUI, or resource pack.
This page is a commercial-style feature overview. Exact config keys, defaults, limits, and operational details are documented at https://icewolf23x.github.io/CoreArmorX-website/
Install the jar on a Paper server, start the server, and let CoreArmorX generate its default files.
Players use normal crafting interactions to upgrade armor, apply netherite visual skins, and remove skins with shears. Server staff can use the built-in admin commands to reload the plugin, inspect held items, and repair CoreArmorX metadata when needed.
CoreArmorX can guide players through a server-controlled armor path instead of letting every tier be crafted directly.
Default progression includes leather, copper, chainmail, iron, gold, diamond, netherite, and turtle helmet support.
Netherite armor can be visually converted into vanilla-looking armor styles such as leather, copper, chainmail, iron, gold, or diamond while still keeping the intended netherite profile.
This gives servers cosmetic variety without replacing the normal Minecraft armor experience.
