Ceezun's LifeSteal
This adds the well known mechanic of LifeSteal into modern versions of Minecraft.
Ceezun's LifeSteal
A complete Lifesteal SMP core in a single jar.
Lose a heart when you die. Gain one when you kill someone. Hit zero and you're banned. Ceezun's LifeSteal brings the format made popular by well-known Lifesteal SMP servers to your world — fully config-driven, no dependencies, and with the author's own LifeSteal plugin bundled in as a toggleable module. One download, two plugins.
Compatibility
- Minecraft 1.21.x – 26.x, including 26.2
- CraftBukkit, Spigot, Paper, and Purpur (built against long-stable Bukkit API only — no Paper-only classes)
- Folia-supported, with scheduler calls falling back to inline execution wherever Folia's region threading doesn't allow the normal Bukkit scheduler
- Every number, item, material list, and chat message lives in
config.yml— nothing is hardcoded
Features
❤️ Hearts
Players start with a configurable number of hearts (10 by default). Dying costs a heart; killing another player awards one to the killer, up to a configurable cap. Drop to (or below) a configurable heart threshold and you're banned and kicked automatically.
💎 Heart Item
Hearts take physical form as a renamed Nether Star (name, lore, and glow all configurable). /withdraw <amount> converts your own hearts into tradeable Heart items, while enforcing a minimum you're required to keep. Right-click one to consume it and reclaim a heart, up to your max.
🔥 Netherite Beacon Revival
Build a vanilla Beacon on a 3x3 base of Netherite Blocks (material configurable) and right-click it to start a revival. Type the banned player's name in chat within a configurable timeout, spend the required Heart items (optionally consuming the beacon's base too), and they're unbanned and restored to a set number of hearts — even if they're offline, since the revival applies the next time they log in.
⛔ Gear Restriction
Keeps diamond as the ceiling: blocks the smithing-table upgrade to netherite, blocks equipping netherite armor outright, and strips any netherite already worn when a player joins — handy if you're turning the rule on mid-server. The restricted material list is fully configurable, so it's not locked to netherite alone, and there's an op-only bypass permission for staff and build servers.
⚔️ Lifesteal Enchant Caps
Caps enchantment levels at the enchanting table and anvil, per enchantment — Sharpness III, Protection II, whatever fits your server's balance. Every cap is configurable, with an op-only bypass permission.
🔨 Ceezun's LifeSteal, built in
Ceezun's LifeSteal bundles the author's existing Single Mace plugin as a toggleable module: once the first mace is crafted anywhere on the server, every mace recipe is removed for good. Logging, the broadcast message, and excluded items are all configurable.

The gear-restriction and enchant-cap systems in Ceezun's LifeSteal are also available as standalone plugins for owners who don't want the full lifesteal package attached:
- NoNetherite — the gear restriction module on its own
- EnchantCap — the enchant level cap module on its own
Both are separate downloads with their own configs. Grab Ceezun's LifeSteal if you want the complete lifesteal experience in one jar — check out Ceezun's NoNetherite and Ceezun's EnchantCap on our Modrinth page if you only need one piece.
