BetterBanHammer 1.0.0

First release. A staff only ban hammer for Minecraft servers: hit a player with a mace and they are banned, with fireworks and particles at the spot.

Highlights

• Hit a player with a mace from /banhammer [duration] [reason] to ban them
• Duration and reason are stored in the hammer, durations like 30m, 1h30m, 7d, 2w, 1mo or permanent
• Uses EssentialsX /ban and /tempban when installed, the server ban list otherwise
• Fireworks, particles, sounds and optional lightning at the ban, everything can be changed in config.yml
• Works on creative players on Paper and its forks
• Targeted hammers with /banhammer target: a hammer that only works on one player, so you can hand it to a normal player, or give it to yourself and drop it for someone else

Safety

• Staff only, players cannot use or pick up a normal hammer
• Cooldown, sneak requirement, disabled worlds and protection for operators
• Optional IP bans, consuming hammers and a ban log
• Targeted hammers are switched on with ban.targeted.enabled

Compatibility

• Spigot, Paper, Purpur and Folia, Minecraft 1.21 to 26.3, Java 21 or newer
• One jar for all of them
• EssentialsX is optional, without it the plugin uses native bans
• Creative player hits need Paper or a fork of it

Configuration

• Messages in 10 languages: English, Chinese, Spanish, Hindi, French, Arabic, Portuguese, Russian, German and Japanese
• Every message, effect and rule can be changed in config.yml
• Tab completion for durations, reasons and players

Permissions

• betterbanhammer.give allows /banhammer and /banhammer give
• betterbanhammer.use allows banning with the hammer
• betterbanhammer.target allows /banhammer target
• betterbanhammer.reload allows /banhammer reload
• betterbanhammer.exempt protects a player from the hammer

Good to know

The plugin sends anonymous usage statistics to bStats. You can turn them off for all plugins in plugins/bStats/config.yml.
