🚀 LugiaSMP — Official Release 2.0

This update marks the official 2.0 release of LugiaSMP and represents a major stability, compatibility, and content update. Large internal changes were made to improve multiplayer reliability and reduce crashes.

Added a large batch of new content mods expanding exploration, structures, decoration, and gameplay variety

Improved world generation variety and biome interactions

Expanded Cobblemon-related content and integrations

⚙️ Major Fixes & Stability Improvements

Fixed server-wide disconnect issues caused by entity attachment desyncs

Resolved crashes related to Fabric networking and entity data syncing

Removed problematic mods that caused:

Random client kicks

Infinite loading screens

“Unknown attachment target” errors

Improved client ↔ server mod sync reliability

Reduced random startup crashes and inconsistent launches

🧠 Performance & Optimization

Improved startup consistency (fewer failed launches)

Reduced memory-related instability during world load

Better handling of large mod counts in multiplayer

🔧 Important Changes

Java 21 is now REQUIRED

Use Adoptium / Temurin Java 21

CurseForge’s bundled Java may cause issues

Players must update/reinstall the modpack before joining

Older worlds should still load, but newly generated chunks are recommended for best results

🗑️ Removed

Removed mods that caused entity desync and network crashes

Removed unstable dependencies that affected multiplayer joins

Removed mods that conflicted with Fabric 1.21.1 networking

(These removals were necessary to ensure server stability.)

⚠️ Notes for Players

If you experience issues after updating:

Fully reinstall the modpack

Ensure Java 21 is selected

This version is considered the new stable baseline going forward
