Ice Boat Racing 1.20.1 Modrinth Notes

Welcome to the 1.20 update, now updated for boat racing! After a tough month of updating and reconfiguring the old (and new) mods, I can confidently release this for the public for events. Note that these patch notes are reflecting from 1.1.1(-Quilt), not the testing builds.

Patch notes:

• The modpack now runs Quilt 0.19.1 as the modloader instead of Fabric
• BoatUtils has been modified to include both rally and BlindAttack modes! You no longer need to swap it out manually.
• Added OinkScoreboard to increase the customizability of the scoreboard, most notably increasing the maximum length.
• Added Lithium to lower the chance of boatlag caused by server-side boat positions (indicated with lightning rods, you can still get lag when close to the rod)
• Added Reese's Sodium Options to make the graphics settings menu easier to navigate and provide more options
• Added CameraUtils to provide more possible third person camera options
• Added ReplayMod to record boat racing events, configured so it interpolates boats somewhat optimally
• Added ViaFabricPlus for older servers that haven't updated to 1.20.x
• Temporarily removed MemoryLeakFix to prevent a rare launch crash due to ViaFabricPlus
• Swapped out Boosted Brightness with Gamma Utils (Fullbright) to make the effects of brightening less tense on the eyes and more configurable by the user
• Removed LazyDFU thanks to Mojang optimizing the DataFixerUpper since 1.19.4
• Removed AntiGhost because it took up an unnecessary keybind
• Removed Item Model Fix because its impact was too little to justify the performance hit due to many boats possibly being on screen at once

Minor changes & bugfixes:

• Fixed a misconfiguration on the server list where FrostHex had custom server resource packs disabled by default instead of prompting to download it
• Added Symbol Chat for funny reasons. It takes zero performance hit and you get to type in funny fonts!
• Reordered the preset server list

Current experiments:

• Swapped out Debugify for ModernFix, as it provides more stable optimization for larger boat races. Debugify won't see a readdition as it and ModernFix clash with fixes.
• BoatCam is still running a 1.19.1 version, it could create instabilities but it seems to work fine for now, consider it experimental
• VeryManyPlayers is currently running a development version, so consider it experimental. I've chosen to continue running VMP because of the upcoming BlueCity Circuit event which will host a race with more than 50 people.

Known Issues:

• Simple Voice Chat is on 2.4.11 while all servers currently use 2.4.2. It should be backwards compatible (apart from BoatLabs' BlindAttack subserver, which is on 2.3.8 and is fully incompatible).
• FrostHex does not fully support the new BoatUtils yet so any of those tracks are broken right now. Sorry for the inconvenience!
