The Modpack

This modpack was created with single-player discovery as well as multiplayer play with friends in mind. It includes a collection of very popular optimization, graphics enhancement, and quality-of-life mods all specifically chosen to get Minecraft running smoother and look better without changing its classic appearance and feel.

To get the optimal performance, the pack comes with well-known optimization mods like Sodium, Lithium, FerriteCore, and Immediately Fast for achieving more FPS and a smoother game. Entity Culling and Gamma Utils (Fullbright) assist in maintaining gameplay optimized and visually tidy as well.

For graphics, several mods beautify the look of Minecraft and its environment. Particle Rain and Cool Rain improve weather, and Iris Shaders offers full shader compatibility for incredible lighting and reflections. Falling Leaves and Cave Dust give life and motion to the world, and resource packs like New Glowing Ores and Blue Netherite bring rich color to your mining adventure. There are two VanillaTweaks packs as well; one for some visual upgrades and another to muffle some of the louder mobs.

Quality-of-life changes improve gameplay convenience and immersion. Villager Pickup++ makes moving villagers easy; Trade Cycling simplifies trading; and RightClickHarvest makes it easy to harvest crops. AppleSkin improves food and hunger display, and Shulker Box Tooltip lets you see what's inside without opening the box.

For exploration, Xaero's Minimap and Xaero's World Map provide decent mapping and navigation features. Freecam is handy for creative building and screenshots, while Effect Timer Plus and Status Effect Bars make it much simpler to track potion effects.

Multiplayer is also simple with the Essential Mod, where you can play with your friends with minimal hassle even without a proper server setup.

Finally, the pack includes helpful utility mods and libraries such as Architectury API, Fabric API, Yet Another Config Lib (YACL), Cloth Config, JamLib, MaLiLib, and Mod Menu, ensuring full compatibility and hassle-free configuration for all the included mods.

Instructions:

#1 Install a Mod Launcher

You may install any mod launcher you prefer, but I recommend using Prism Launcher because it's easy to use and adaptable.

To get it, download it here: https://prismlauncher.org/

After installing it, launch the launcher and create a new Minecraft instance for the modpack.

#2 Copy Your Old Settings (Optional but Recommended)

When you launch Minecraft using your mod launcher for the first time, it will establish a new options.txt file.

If you’ve played Minecraft before and want to keep your settings (like controls, FOV, and sensitivity):

Go to your regular Minecraft folder and find your existing options.txt file.

Copy its contents.

Then, open your new Minecraft folder (created by the mod launcher) and paste those contents into the new options.txt file.

This transfers all your preferred settings into the modded version without needing to redo them manually.

#3 Enable Resource Packs

Go to Options → Resource Packs and enable VanillaTweaks R1.21_TyMP.x.zip and any other packs you wish to utilize.

They upgrade graphics, make glow ores glimmer, introduce blue ancient debris, and silence some of the mob sounds for a smoother experience.

#4 Check and Adjust Mods

When playing the game, go to the Mods menu (thanks to the Mod Menu mod) to see all the mods included in this pack.

Some mods, like Freecam, need to be installed ahead of time before they'll work correctly.

You can use this menu to change mod options or enable or disable them.

#5 Set Keybinds

Go to Settings → Options → Controls → Key Binds and make sure there are no conflicting keybindings.

If two things are bound to the same key, select one and press Esc to unbind it.

This avoids conflicts between mods that share the same control setups.
