What is Wending Subtleties?

Wending Subtleties is a small datapack project focused on adding minimal additions and consistency changes to vanilla world generation, with the main goal of making Minecraft's overworld and subsequent dimensions feel just a little more finished. I've really enjoyed working on this project, and I hope that this is what you have been looking for!!

Configured Feature Changes:

Large tree variants

• All large tree variants have an increased minimum height to fix those pesky “bulb” trees. The maximum size has stayed the same.

Biome Changes:

Forest

• Large leaf litter birch tree variant
• Grass generates at a higher density

Birch Forest/Old Growth Birch Forest

• Large birch tree variant
• Grass generates at a higher density

Dark Forest

• Large leaf litter birch tree variant
• Grass generates at a higher density

Flower Forest

• All trees now feature leaf litter
• Large leaf litter birch tree variant
• Grass now uses forest density

Plains

• Birch trees
• Large birch tree variant

River

• Grass generates at a higher density
• Tall grass also generates

Swamp

• Large swamp tree variant
• Mud generates on shorelines/low areas

Windswept Hills/Gravelly Hills

• Grass now generates at a higher density
• Ferns can now be found mixed in
• Large leaf litter oak tree variant
• Small oak trees now feature leaf litter

Windswept Forest

• Grass generates at a higher density
• Ferns can now be found mixed in
• Large leaf litter oak tree variant
• Small oak trees now feature leaf litter

Savanna

• Large oak tree variant

Windswept Savanna

• Large leaf litter oak tree variant
• Small oak trees now feature leaf litter
• Grass now uses regular savanna density

Jungle/Bamboo Jungle

• Trees have been moved apart a bit to ease congestion
• Bushes now have a slightly higher rarity

Wooded Badlands

• Large leaf litter oak tree variant

Taiga

• Grass now generates at a higher density

Old Growth Pine/Spruce Taiga

• Boulders now generate at a lower density

Snowy Plains

• Ferns now generate
• Berry bushes can now be found rarely
• All regular taiga tree variants can now be found
• Cows, Pigs, Sheep, and Chickens now have the ability to spawn, their rarities matching the Snowy Taiga

Snowy Beach/Frozen River

• Berry bushes can now be found rarely

Lush Caves

• Grass and Foliage colors now match moss more closely

All Nether Biomes

• Fog is now tuned to be more atmospheric, with substantially increased visibility
