Version 1.0.3 Changelog
This update brings some critical bug fixes and a couple of new requested features!
Nudge and Shove
- Two new Border Penalties! Nudge
- As the border closes, receive a gentle push when you touch the closing border, helping to guide you in the direction it is closing
- If you manage to get stuck, and the border closes past your position, you will get teleported to your spawn point
- A
forceparameter is required, which sets the strength of the nudge. A higher number means a larger velocity applied to the player. Default value is 3
Shove
- Same behavior as Nudge, however, instead of teleporting when outside the border, damage will be dealt
/wheatborder damage <value>can be used to set the damage amount
Border Timer
- Moved Live Timer position to bottom right corner
- Added a 5 minute remaining message to the Warning Timer
Bug Fixes
- Timer displayed in the action bar was using incorrect measurement, leading to incorrect values being shown
- The border was stopping upon player death
- Players now get kicked out of beds if the bed’s position is outside the border
- Closing accelerate wasn’t triggering again if the player moved far away as it was actively closing
- Border wasn’t responding to close command when opened far out
- Border settings were resetting when entering the End Fountain for the first time
- Boundary no longer flickers and has artifacts when set very big. Now becomes transparent as you move away
- Fixed border setting leak between dimensions and worlds
- Borders in the Nether now properly scale to the 8x distance of the Overworld, fixing unintentional penalties, sizes, and centering
Known Issue
- Borders are not respecting the pause menu on singeplayer worlds, and continue processing as normal. A fix for this will be coming at a later date.
- This issue does not impact multiplayer servers.
During the time the mod was being reviewed here on Modrinth, several updates dropped on CurseForge. Here's the other version's changelogs:
Version 1.0.2 Changelog
I have another patch to address some crucial bugs that were discovered with the last version. This should make the experience actually playable now!
Timer Setting
- A new Timer feature that can be toggled in the Wheat Storage menu
- Has three options you can choose from: Live, Warning, or Off
- Live shows the remaining time in the action bar at all times
- Warning gives you a warning message at 30, 15, and 10 minutes left. Then, a live timer appears at 5 minutes and less
- Off shows nothing
- Can also be toggled using
/wheat timer <off/live/warning>
Golden Bread
- Now always edible. Allowing you to gain Haste even when you're not hungry!
Border Duration
- Now only decreases the time if the player is currently on the server
- Logging off will pause your timer, so no worries if you need to take a break!
Border Accelerate
- The accelerate subcommand for
/wheatborderand/worldwheatbordernow supports a new parameter:<open/close> - The
closeparameter functions the exact same way as accelerate currently does - The
openparameter takes a new floating point number (e.g. 1.5) and multiplies the border's opening speed by that number every second. This way, you can have a slow initial open speed, but it then can increase faster exponentially so it reaches the max size in a reasonable time - Set it to 1 to turn the feature off
Bug Fixes
- Dying was causing the border settings to reset
- Spawn points outside of the border were not being reset back to the world spawn
- Default border values now get applied to the Nether or The End
- Teleport penalty could be negated entirely by riding a mount
- Player velocity is now set to zero upon teleport penalty
- Item magnet setting now correctly only picks up player dropped items outside the border
- Item despawn setting now properly disables items from despawning outside of the border
- Shift clicking any item other than Wheat in the Wheat Storage screen would crash the game
- The Walls of Wheat scoreboard objectives were not updating their values
- Auto Pickup and Sound options in the wheat menu were not being saved upon player log out
- Border values would be shared between worlds in certain instances
Version 1.0.1 Changelog
This is the first minor patch for Walls of Wheat, featuring a few bug fixes and a couple new features.
Wheat Decay
- New subcommand
/worldwheatborder->wheat_decay <true/false> - When set to true, all Wheat Crops planted by the player outside of the closed border position will turn into Withered Wheat
- Although this is under the
worldwheatbordercommand list, it affects the entire world, not just new players who join
Withered Wheat
- Withered Wheat has three ages, but does not grow on its own. You must use Bone Meal to progress its age
- When broken, it has a 60% chance to drop one Wheat Seed
- At the max age, it has a 15% chance to drop one Wheat
- Fortune does not effect these values
- New advancement: 'Plant Within the Lines' - obtained by planting Wheat outside the closed border position, when
wheat_decayis set to true
Closed Border Boundary
- The closed border boundary has been visually updated to look like another world border, though a bit more transparent
- It has no physical collision, purely serving as a cleaner indicator for the closed border's position
- Uses the same color system as before
Bug Fixes
- The
wheatborder closecommand now properly forces the border to shut instantly, regardless of state - The closed border boundary now properly syncs the selected color across all dimensions
- Skipping The End credits no longer causes player border data to reset
