IMPORTANT: Engine Optimization and Authenticity Clarification

The core goal of this modpack remains unchanged: running Minecraft on the Vulkan Graphics API for maximum performance.

For Minecraft 26.2 and Above

• Vulkan Mod Removal: The VulkanMod has been removed, but Vulkan is still fully active. I have removed VulkanMod because Sodium has started supporting Vulkan too by using the new Minecraft native graphics option. The modpack is pre-configured to automatically shift your game to the Vulkan API upon launch.
• Enhanced Performance and Stability: Since Sodium is a highly popular and optimized industry-standard mod, performance will be significantly better. Removing the separate VulkanMod also completely fixes the constant crashes and compatibility issues it used to cause with various other mods.
• Status: This is the permanent setup for 26.2 and future versions until further notice.

Addressing Concerns: How is the game running on Vulkan without the VulkanMod? Is this modpack fake?

No, this modpack is not fake, and the game is still 100% running on Vulkan. Previously, an external mod was required to force Minecraft to use the Vulkan API. However, in version 26.2 and above, Minecraft natively includes the choice to switch graphics engines. Since Sodium now officially supports Vulkan through this native Minecraft option, the separate VulkanMod is no longer needed. I removed the Vulkan mod because it was causing crashes with other mods in the pack, but the Vulkan graphics engine itself is entirely active. Sodium is now running on top of this native Vulkan setup, giving you a much more stable experience and even better frame rates through a cleaner method.

Important Notice Regarding Iris Shaders

• Iris Shader Incompatibility: Please note that Iris Shaders will not run while Minecraft is using the native Vulkan graphics option. If you attempt to use shaders, the game will fail to run or crash.
• Workaround: If you absolutely need to use Iris Shaders, you will have to manually switch the Minecraft graphics API option away from Vulkan in the game settings.

For Minecraft 1.19.4 to 1.21.11

• VulkanMod Retained: Older versions will continue to use the VulkanMod to enable the Vulkan API, as those base versions of Minecraft and older Sodium releases do not feature built-in graphics API selection.
