Subtitles along the top of the screen
The bottom of the screen is where a subtitle belongs and also where everything else already is: the hotbar, the health and hunger rows, the chat, the experience bar, and whatever the server draws down there on top of all that. On a busy interface the feed had nowhere left to sit.
There is now a setting for which edge it hangs from, under Layout:

Read top to bottom the order is the same either way round: oldest first, newest nearest the middle of the screen. Along the top the feed leaves the chat allowance alone, since the chat box is nowhere near it, and cinema mode clears the top matte the way it already cleared the bottom one.
Nothing else has changed. Both jars are as they were: the ordinary one fetches the engine and the model when it first needs them, the full one already has them inside.
