Tridents Drop Always

This datapack will change Drowned to have a 100% drop chance if they spawn carrying a trident.

In Vanilla, Drowned that spawn with a trident have a very small chance to drop it when they are killed. Especially in the early game, this encourages you to wait for it to despawn instead of fighting it since there's likely no reward anyway.
