Carnivorous walking plants for Minecraft 1.21.1. Grow them. Dock them. Pen them. Don't let them grow them in your village.

Plants & growth

• Treefyd Seed crafted from wheat + beetroot + melon + pumpkin seeds
• Treefyd Plant — 4-stage farmland crop, accelerated by bone meal
• Wild treefyds spawn rarely in swamp and jungle biomes
• At max age, the plant hatches into a hostile mob

The creature

• 30 HP, slow, relentless melee
• Hits inflict Blindness and Poison II
• Drops on any kill: 1–3 seeds, 1–2 stalks, 1 oil (50% chance)

Handling

• Stinger docking — right-click a treefyd with vanilla shears to disable it for 10 minutes (cannot attack, won't pursue)
• Handler's Armor — 4-piece leather + stalk set
  • Helmet: face veil grants Blindness immunity
  • Chestplate: long sleeves grant Poison immunity
  • Leggings + Boots: defense only

Farming

• Treefyd Pen — 3-block-tall multi-block with cage
• Capture a docked treefyd by right-clicking the pen near one
• Feed with raw meat / fish / rotten flesh / bones / leather
• Each feeding restores vitality and extends life by 5 minutes (60 min hard cap)
• Produces ~1 Treefyd Oil per 40 seconds while alive

• Treefyd Oil — brew with Awkward Potion for Potion of the Treefyd (Strength II + Regen II)
  • Long variant: + Redstone (3:20)
  • Strong variant: + Glowstone (Strength III + Regen III, 0:45)
  • Splash + Lingering via the standard brewing chain
  • Also works as furnace fuel — burns 12 800 ticks (~32 items)
• Treefyd Stalk — raw is risky food (30% Poison I); cook for safe 5-hunger food
