This mod gives you the ability to change the visibility of item frames!

Added a new config option to disable auto-invisibility for item frames when on a server without the mod.
Removed ability to change the distance at which items render in item frames. - Reason being that the feature was janky and annoying to mess with. May re-introduce at a later date with a more refined version.
