Damaged Anchor

These components provide the survival progression path toward crafting and upgrading the completed weapons.

New enchantments

Concealment

Helmet enchantment. Hides the wearer’s visible nameplate.

Anonymity

Helmet enchantment. Conceals the wearer’s identity when they appear as the killer in a death message.

Jagged Edge

Sword enchantment. Applies the new Bleed effect for eight seconds. Higher levels increase the strength of Bleed.

Stunning

Sword enchantment. Activates when critically striking another player. Temporarily prevents the victim from using movement and defensive items. Affected items include Ender Pearls, Wind Charges, Tridents, Anchors, Fishing Rods, Bows, Crossbows, Shields and Firework Rockets. Also prevents spell casting when Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks is installed. Interrupts Elytra flight. Higher levels extend the stun duration.

Poison Coated

Sword enchantment. Applies Poison for six seconds. Higher levels increase the Poison amplifier.

Life Steal

Exclusive to the Scythe and Damaged Scythe. Heals the wielder for 10% of the damage actually dealt per level. Healing is capped at two health points per enchantment level for each hit.

Shockwave Impact

Exclusive to the Anchor and Damaged Anchor. Creates a harmless wind-like shockwave when a thrown Anchor hits a block. The shockwave knocks nearby entities away. It does not directly damage entities or destroy blocks.

Soul Stealer

Treasure enchantment for weapons. Killing a Villager directly with the enchanted weapon drops a Trapped Soul. Each captured soul permanently reduces that weapon’s maximum durability. Normal weapons can collect four Villager souls before breaking. Soul Blades can collect eight Villager souls before breaking. Soul Stealer enchanted books can appear in Ancient City chests.

Bleed effect

Added the Bleed harmful status effect. Bleed deals damage once per second. Damage increases with the effect amplifier. Added dedicated Bleed death messages for environmental and player-attributed deaths.

Soul materials and crafting

Trapped Soul

Added Trapped Souls as the central material for Soul equipment and Soul Cage progression. Trapped Souls stack only one per slot. Primarily obtained by killing Villagers using Soul Stealer.

Soul Steel

Added Soul Steel. Crafted by surrounding one Trapped Soul with eight Iron Ingots. Used to create Soul equipment and repair the Soul Blade.

Incomplete Soul Mold

Added the Incomplete Soul Mold. Crafted using a Trapped Soul and four Soul Steel.

Soul Mold

Added the completed Soul Mold. Created by smelting an Incomplete Soul Mold. Smelting takes 200 ticks and awards one experience point.

Soul Cage

Added the Soul Cage. Crafted using a Soul Mold, six Soul Steel and two Eyes of Ender. Stack size is limited to one.

Budding Amethyst

Added a survival crafting recipe for Budding Amethyst. Uses a Trapped Soul in the centre, Amethyst Blocks on the four sides and Amethyst Shards in the corners.

Soul Cage trapping system

Dying while holding an empty Soul Cage in either hand traps the player’s soul. The empty cage is converted into a filled cage bound to that player. Filled Soul Cages have a separate model, an enchanted glint and a tooltip showing the bound player. The trapped state persists through death, respawning, relogging and server restarts. Trapped players are kept inside the Soul Cage dimension. Destroying the bound cage releases the trapped player. Letting the cage despawn also releases the player. A cage falling out of the world releases its bound player. Offline players can be marked for release and are handled when they return. Released players are placed at a nearby safe location when possible. The safe location search avoids dangerous blocks, damaging blocks and fluids. Added global Soul Cage trapping and release sounds. Added messages informing players when they have been trapped or released.

Soul Cage dimension

Added the Soul Cage dimension. Uses a flat world made from Bedrock, Coarse Dirt and a surface water layer. Contains no terrain features, lakes, structures or naturally spawning mobs. Uses a permanently dark fixed time. Has no skylight or precipitation. Beds, raids and Respawn Anchors do not function there. Trapped players initially appear near the dimension origin. Trapped players receive maximum-strength Blindness, Mining Fatigue and Weakness. The effects are continually maintained while the player remains in the dimension. Attempting to leave while still bound returns the player to the Soul Cage.

Soul Cage commands

Added /soulcage trap <player>. Added /soulcage release <player>. Added optional dimension and coordinate arguments to the release command. Commands require operator permission level 2. The release command normally searches for a safe destination. Supplying a dimension and position allows command-controlled placement.

Projectile and enchantment integration

Added a registered Anchor Projectile entity. Added separate projectile rendering for completed and damaged Anchors. Thrown Anchors carry their weapon data and enchantments. Jagged Edge and Poison Coated can activate from a thrown Anchor. Fire Aspect can ignite an entity struck by a thrown Anchor. Custom projectile damage adjustments preserve the intended damage difference between completed and damaged Anchors.

Visual and interface additions

Added the Stuff and Additions creative mode tab. Added all 15 new items to the tab. Added large in-hand weapon models for Scythes and Anchors. Added separate models for damaged weapon variants. Added empty and filled Soul Cage models. Added textures and models for all newly registered 2.1.1 items.

Optional mod compatibility

Added optional compatibility with Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks. When Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks is installed, stunned players cannot begin casting spells. Stuff and Additions continues loading normally when Iron’s Spells ’n Spellbooks is absent.
