Skyblock Enhanced — Update Notes

TL;DR: New Welcome Wizard for first-launch setup, a full in-game config manager, three new resolution presets, several mods swapped out, and all mods updated to 1.21.11.

Thank you to everyone who uses the pack — we've now hit over half a million downloads on Modrinth, which is just amazing. This pack started with the goal of being an easy-to-install modpack that gave you everything you need in just a few clicks. As of version 3.0, I truly believe it does.

Skyblock Enhanced is now a general modpack that gives you everything you need for most types of gameplay on Hypixel Skyblock. If you need something extra, you can always add mods from the launcher and still receive updates for the rest of the pack. With the new Welcome Wizard, the personalised settings you can configure on first launch have changed significantly — it's now truly a modpack anyone can install and get exactly what they need out of.

Config Pack System

• Improved automatic config pack detection and applying
• Tracks applied pack and version for safer updates — when a new config is available, only new files are applied (such as configs for newly added mods). Existing mod configs are left untouched to avoid overwriting any changes you've made.

In-Game Config Manager

• New in-game config screen with tabs: Configuration, Export, Import, Backups
• Browse config pack contents before applying
• Apply individual files or an entire preset at once
• Export selected files as a reusable .zip config pack with metadata (name, version, author, description, target resolution, GUI scale)
• Import external config packs from the imports folder
• Create and restore backups from within the game

Commands

• /packcore wizard — Reopen the Welcome Wizard
• /packcore modpack_config — Open the config manager
• /packcore update check — Check for updates
• /packcore update reset — Reset update state
• All options from the wizard can also be changed with commands - just do /packcore and it will show autocomplete suggestions

Config Presets 3.0

Getting the default configs right is one of the less glamorous parts of maintaining a modpack, but it's one of the most important. If overlays are misaligned or settings are off out of the box, most users will never fix them — they'll just have a worse experience. This update puts a lot of that right. Three new resolution presets bring proper support to more screen setups than ever, and fixes have been applied to all existing presets too.
