Sensory Abyss
RPG/horror flavored mod. You start broken, permanently. At character creation you choose an affliction. Whatever you pick, something is gone for good. What replaces the lost sense is the point of the mod.

Playing as the Numb could kick you from the server. Wearing down a kind of block you had never worn before could drop the connection with "Failed to encode packet". The Corruption and Apex syncs could do the same.

Creatures were being erased in water. A wader cut off at the waterline, a mob under a lake invisible from the bank, and nothing to see looking up from below the surface. One fault behind all three.

F1 didn't clear the HUD. The class plate, the Apex and Necromancer panels, the party list and the pet list all stayed painted over a hidden interface.

The Blinded's Pentimento drew nothing but mist with Supplementary installed.

Shrines ask you a question now. A Resonance Shrine sings a phrase of three to six notes and you play it back. Answer in any key it listens to the intervals, not the pitches and every note throws a coloured particle at its own height, so the phrase can be read by someone who hears nothing. Touch it again to hear it from the top; that is the only help on offer. Players have a new body model (will be more important in the future when more planned systems get added, right now the effects are cosmetic. The abyss recall animation is not complete but I wanted to get the patch out)
