The Ravenous

The Ravenous now animates while it breaks blocks. Phase 6 has its own version of it. The Ravenous now animates while it kills. Three versions: phase 0 and 1, phases 2 to 5, and phase 6. The emerging animation. In 2.0.4 the Ravenous asked for it every time it spawned and the file did not exist, so it simply appeared standing.

Interface

The Ravenous Egg icon is a flat sprite now, instead of a rendered 3D block.

Fixed

The Ravenous froze in its rest pose for a moment every time one of its ability animations started or ended. It happened between one animation and the next, when nothing was posing the model. The Ravenous appeared standing instead of coming out of the ground. Even where the animation played, the first two tenths of a second were missing: it appeared already halfway out. A Screecher stayed frozen after sniffing instead of going back to idle. A Screecher played two poses at once, and some of its animations were cut short or held too long. The Ravenous shook forever after being stunned by the Anti-Ravenous on dedicated servers. It kept chasing and killing normally — the shaking was only visual, and it stopped if you walked far enough away and came back. This fix had existed since November but had never reached this release. The jar is named like the ported versions, so the five builds can be told apart.
